About this laboratory

The Electrical Technology Workshop is a well-equipped practical and instructional environment designed to teach fundamental and applied electrical engineering concepts. It supports the Electrical and Electronics Laboratory for Mechanical Engineering students, the Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering II Laboratory for Industrial Engineering students, and specialist workshop exercises.

Students work directly with residential single-phase circuits, three-phase industrial circuits, control equipment, and measurement instruments. The workshop helps students strengthen practical skills, understand electrical principles, and gain experience in installing, analyzing, and troubleshooting residential and industrial electrical circuits.

About this laboratory

The Microwave and Antenna Laboratory provides advanced hands-on training in microwave engineering, high-frequency circuits, transmission lines, and antenna measurement techniques. Students learn practical concepts related to electromagnetic wave propagation, S-parameters, passive and active microwave components, waveguides, couplers, high-frequency filters, resonance, and antenna characterization.

The laboratory includes specialized measurement instruments, microwave components, and several types of antennas. Practical work covers S-parameter measurement, transmission-line behavior, antenna radiation patterns, gain and return-loss measurement, microwave filters and couplers, waveguides, and resonant structures.

The laboratory helps students develop the skills needed to analyze and design high-frequency systems, operate advanced microwave measurement instruments, and understand antenna performance and microwave components.
