About this laboratory
The Electrical Technology Workshop is a well-equipped practical and instructional environment designed to teach fundamental and applied electrical engineering concepts. It supports the Electrical and Electronics Laboratory for Mechanical Engineering students, the Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering II Laboratory for Industrial Engineering students, and specialist workshop exercises.
Students work directly with residential single-phase circuits, three-phase industrial circuits, control equipment, and measurement instruments. The workshop helps students strengthen practical skills, understand electrical principles, and gain experience in installing, analyzing, and troubleshooting residential and industrial electrical circuits.
Practical activities
- Single-pole, double-pole, two-way, and cross switches
- Photoelectric controllers and staircase timers
- Audio and video door phone systems
- Evaporative cooler control circuits
- Single-phase electrical meters
